Proven Hardware, Software, Communication and Integration Strategies
We deliver fully functional AMI solutions that enable your company to operate effectively. From our head-end Meter Automation Server (MAS) to integration with your back-end systems, to our radio frequency (RF) mesh network, into the home strategies, and other components necessary to build the world’s most widely deployed two-way RF mesh solution – EIS's AMI solutions are field proven and offer the functionality, reliability and security that can meet the metering automation needs of any utility.

The EnergyAxis System is designed for residential, commercial and industrial applications. As your service area grows, EnergyAxis local area networks automatically adjust to include the new meters. EnergyAxis is scalable to multi-million meter deployments while at the same time being cost effective for smaller utilities or strategic deployments.

As your single source for the entire development process, we bring the right people, technologies and strategic partners together to achieve your system goals, while providing rapid return on your investment. And, our solutions are engineered with industry approved open standards allowing for efficient upgrade paths as your requirements and future technologies evolve.
  1. Metering Automation Server (MAS) – A communication server that receives and stores data from the meter, and as a two-way system, sends commands to the meter. This two-way capability enables the utility to manage the meter or control devices at the customers’ premises.
  2. Dual-function data collectors – Collectors that are also meters are more cost effective, install more easily, and are less visually obtrusive than towers.
  3. An extensive range of meters and communications modules – including solid-state single and polyphase residential, commercial and industrial electronic meters, plus radio frequency (RF) communications modules that extend the benefits of AMI to water and gas meters.
  4. In-home solutions for efficient load management – The integration of powerful demand response systems including load control devices, programmable thermostats and in-home displays allow your utility to maximize control of its energy resources.
  5. A communications system (wide area network or WAN) to transmit the data – EnergyAxis works with a wide range of WAN communications solutions, enabling you to select the communications option that is most reliable and cost effective for your region.
  6. A robust, self-managing local area network (LAN) – The LAN transmits data from the meters via the collectors to your utility, enabling you to transmit information and commands directly to one meter, a select set, or to all of the meters.
