Senior Project Manger - Richmond, VA

Primary responsibilities
Full responsibility for project execution in deployment of field hardware equipment, and IT system for local utility.  Execution involves schedule, scope, budget, contract, and personnel management.  Must be able to develop and write project scopes.  Create and establish procedures for managing project.  Monitor work progress, identifying risks and creating strategies to mitigate them.  Involvement in ongoing contract management.  Must have excellent leadership, time management and presentation skills as this position will interact with the customer management as well as business partners needed to execute project.  Person will be able to mold expectations of client in a positive manner. Will supervise other project resources and give direction.  Must be able to understand and map client business requirements and establish customers' satisfaction criteria for project success. Required to be on site through duration of project.  Travel is required 30 percent of the time.

Qualifications
• Advanced Metering Infrastructure (AMI) system implementation (electric/gas/water) desired.
• Experienced project manager with over 10 years experience in managing large and complex projects and their integrated schedule, scopes, and budgets.
• Highly desirable to have SAP or other project management tool experience to handle scheduling and planning activities.

Education
Bachelor of Science degree in engineering disciplined required.
