Product RF Engineer
Primary responsibilities
Develop RF hardware for two way water advanced metering infrastructure (AMI) products. Candidate must have a history of schematic capture and printed circuit board layouts for RF designs. Other important tasks are test and verification of radio circuits.
Looking for candidate with experience in impedance matching and design of small, in circuit board antennas. Experience in transferring designs to manufacturing. Experience with RF emission issues, FCC and Canadian product certification and compliance issues. While not mandatory, experience with RF development for electricity, gas or water metering products is a plus. Must be able to design low cost RF circuitry to meet outdoor environmental and FCC regulatory requirements. Responsible for technical specification, design, implementation and engineering verification of RF circuits.
Qualifications
• 10 plus years of experience in RF development and product implementation.
• Requires experience with RF receiver and transmitter board level design in the ISM Band (902-928 MHz).
• Proficiency with RF simulation tools (e.g., Eagleware).
• Experience with digital radios and integration of RF and DSP techniques.
• Experience with Automated Meter Reading (AMR) product is a big plus.
Education
Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical Engineering or other relevant technical degree.
